Two Souls, One Beautiful Journey

How I Knew She Was The One

How My Heart Found Home in Him

A family friend named Tony thought we'd be perfect together. In September 2023, he showed my mom Chakku's photo from her birthday—a Malayalee girl in pink with dangling earrings and a cute dog. I thought she was pretty but nothing happened.

Three months later, my dad randomly made me a matrimony profile and clicked on hers. Her family reached out through Tony.

We talked on December 8th. Super awkward. She called me "chetta" and I was like "please don't." I told my mom it wouldn't work—we were too different.

But we kept talking. First she was interested, I wasn't. Then she lost interest, I gained it. Then somehow we both fell for each other. Within a month, we decided to do life together.

A year and a half later, we're married.

Life is funny.

Tony chettan showed my family a boy's photo after my birthday. I liked the one in the blue suit with the gap-toothed smile, but I was moving to the UK for work, so I wasn't interested.

I kept thinking about him randomly though. He was my favourite from all the proposals.

Later, when the same boy sent a matrimony request, I thought why not? Our first call was awkward but he had a nice voice. We kept talking, our interest coming and going like waves.

After a brief break, we both realized we loved each other and wanted to do life together.

Now we're married and honeymooning in Kumarakom—the same place I first heard about him.

Life is funny.
